The Non-witch
The spiritual practice of witchcraft intrigues, empowers, and connects—but it's often dismissed or misunderstood. Femme Infernal is a scrollytelling website that invites users to reconsider what it means to be a witch, and to experiment with their own small acts of magic.
Users click through different chapters to learn about history, film/TV, and pop culture, then finish by making their own bit of magic in the form of a custom sigil.
Play through the site below, or interact with it live here.
Moody, textured work embraces the hero typeface, which is defined by reaction diffusion—a natural process resulting in eerie, organic shapes.
Tarot card guides and poster campaigns encourage visitors to experience the site.

Users generate a unique custom sigil to take away from the site—a symbol witches carry to remind them of important manifestations.
You can create your own sigil here.
Because Figma Make does not support
custom fonts in shared files, the
site may look different for current viewers.
In witchcraft, a sigil's power is strengthened when paired with others—so as a final act, users can add their sigil to a community coven.
