For
NPR's audience
Up First is NPR's most-streamed podcast, covering daily news for 500K+ monthly listeners. My objective was to develop branding, animation and visual support for their new Up First Winter Games video segments posted across NPR platforms during the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games.
By maintaining the brand's signature gradients and thin lines, I built a system that was translated to video content, advertisements, and merchandise posted across Instagram and YouTube, covering the behind-the-scenes at the Winter Olympics. The system was then brought to life by NPR's team of copywriters, the editorial team, and the reporters on the ground in Milano Cortina.

Brand Toolkit
A comprehensive style guide was developed with the brand personality, tagline, logo rules and promotional assets. The logo gradient, adapted from Up First's green and yellow ring, became the base for a range of color expressions used throughout.

Transitions were animated in After Effects and packaged for the editorial team to use throughout daily coverage.
